Accelerating the development of
renewable energies will
require the development of high temperature geothermal energy around the world.

Long-term prospectives
World energy demand is expected to increase by 30% by 2040. Electricity production will represent 40% of the total energy consumption in 2040 against less than 30% today. Electricity demand is expected to increase 80% by 2040. This global demand will guide the energy industry for the next 30 years and well beyond.
The installed electric power capacity in the world is expected to double by 2050.

The energy challenge of our century will be to supply this growing demand (emerging and developed countries) while minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution.

Our roadmap :

Promote and explain the advantages of geothermal energy in the territories, but also discuss about the associated risks and processes to control them. Involve regional and local decision-makers to answer legitim questions and avoid any misunderstandings about this energy.

Reduce the cost of risk and optimize the use of discovered resources. Research & Development will contribute in the explored areas by characterizing the heat resources, improving the understanding of regional contexts and geosciences data analysis techniques.

Working in collaboration with institutes, laboratories, universities and private industry partners to accelerate the acquisition of new knowledge.

Bringing deep geothermal in the French and European energy landscape and provide a credible, competitive and complementary alternative to fossil fuels.
