Initiated in 2015, the Sioule project aims to explore and then uncover the geothermal resources of the western sector of the Chaîne des Puys (French Massif Central).
The project is ruled by the Exclusive Research Permit of the same name, requested in 2015.
The area has, according to us, the potential for several 5 to 10 MW power stations. These sites will also be used to develop heating projects in agriculture, serving the territory.
Since 2015, several geological, geophysical and geochemical investigation campaigns have been carried out to define a first target zone which is currently being developed in the town of Saint-Pierre-Roche.
The project is co-developed in partnership by TLS Geothermics and Storengy SAS since June 2017.
